Sydney Metro - Canterbury Station

The Sydney Metro Project is Australia’s largest public transport initiative, set to transform the way Sydney moves by introducing a network of driverless trains across the city.

Once complete, Sydney Metro will feature 46 stations spanning 113 kilometres of rail. All stations will be equipped with platform screen doors for enhanced safety and will offer full accessibility for prams, young children, and people with disabilities.

Canterbury Station is one of 11 stations along the Sydenham to Bankstown corridor being upgraded to meet metro standards. Certus Projects was engaged by Haslin to deliver station and precinct upgrades, focused on enhancing amenities and improving accessibility for Sydney Metro customers.

Key Features:

  • Improvements to interchanges including bus shelter, bike racks, accessible parking and kiss and ride.

  • Upgraded security fencing to the rail corridor

  • Successful preservation of heritage listed building on the concourse of Canterbury station.
